Prisoners At The Bars

There's no doubting the genesis of Boston's Liberty Hotel. The restored Charles Street Jail, which once confined the Boston Strangler and Malcolm X, delights in its original architecture, especially the catwalks around the 27-metre-tall central rotunda. Once used by prisoners and guards, the catwalks now offer view of the expensive lobby and provide a vivid first impression for today's guests, who are quite happy to spend a night behind (and indeed, in front of) bars.
